Our humanitarian mission to Greece is all about extending help to the masses of refugees seeking asylum from a life of persecution and violence. It is 22:30 Greek Time when we arrive at the furthest point on the coast of Skala in Lesvos. This point is marked by a lighthouse that stands on it. Upon our arrival, we meet a group of about 60 Afghani Shias who had taken shelter in an abandoned house with nothing but a fire to keep them warm.

The World Federation of KSIMC is deeply saddened by the current situation in Gaza. The support received from the worldwide community for the Gaza Relief Fund has been overwhelming and we would like to thank the worldwide community for your support.
As a result, The World Federation has increased its commitment in providing humanitarian aid in Gaza to $100,000 USD since the start of the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Sister Anisa Kanji, the lead at The World Federation for International Relief and Development, comments:
‘The situation in Gaza is desperate – many people have lost loved ones, their homes and struggle with finding basic necessities, such as food, water and shelter. It is hard to imagine that, o n average, 57 percent of the population in Gaza live below the poverty line.
The conflict in Gaza continues to intensify and they urgently need our help. On behalf of The World Federation, I would like to thank the worldwide community for their generous support so far. Please do continue to donate – the humanitarian aid required in Gaza continues to increase day by day.’
The World Federation has set a target of $200,000 USD for the Gaza Relief Fund. Through your support, we will be able to provide further aid to those in Gaza. Please donate today.
