We, the undersigned UK Shia organisations, strongly condemn the atrocities being carried out by terrorists in Iraq, including the horrific massacres targeting Sunni worshipers at a mosque in Diyala on 22 August and the massacre that targeted Shia worshippers at a mosque in Baghdad on 25 August. We call on the Iraqi government to bring the perpetrators – whoever they may be – to justice as soon as possible.
