The World Federation’s representative to the National Council of The Muslim Council of Britain, Riyaz Dhalla, will be amongst the business women and men - professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs and financiers, to attend the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) between 28 to 30 October 2014.
Held this year in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, this will be the largest delegation to the Forum outside Muslim countries.
In addition to deepening economic ties between the Muslim world and the UK, the MCB delegation will also celebrate the growing economic ties between the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. To underscore that relationship, the British Embassy in Dubai will be hosting a reception for British delegates, where British entrepreneurs, Ministers and leading Emirati figures will be attending on 28 October.
Dr Shuja Shafi, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain said: “British Muslims have strong economic, cultural, social and religious ties to the UAE and we are delighted that in addition to business people and entrepreneurs from the UK, our delegation this year consists of many British expats in the UAE who are at the top of their professional game. Once again, we hope to demonstrate that British Muslims can help contribute to the prosperity of the United Kingdom through its links to the Muslim world.”

In this month of mourning, let us all join hands in prayers to Allah (S.W.T.) for His grace and mercy and in performing Azadari of Sayyidul Sh’uhada, Imam Hussain (A.S.) and the 72 martyrs of Kerbala in the most benefiting manner to bring about the spiritual awakening in our community.
