Madinah and Bab 2013: A Fantastic All-Round Experience

Updated on 12 March 2018

Updated 30 October 2013

Attending this course was a golden opportunity for me to attain spiritual upliftment and gain lots of Islamic education, along with meeting girls from various countries, and everyone had something interesting to share!

The course was all about learning from each other and getting to know different opinions and thoughts which indeed was very informative and useful. Not forgetting, we had a lot of fun on the side too, and had time for sports as well!  I must say it was a very unique 'two-in-one' experience, of both a ziyarah trip where we would get to go to the haram both in Mashhad and Qum day in day out, along with classes delivered by various learned scholars.

The mentors also did a great job in guiding us well throughout the whole trip, solving any issues that came about.

Moreover, we had field trips too, such as going to the Milaad towers, Ebrat Museum in Tehran, which brought more fun and flavour to our trip! And the 30 minute climb up Mount Khizr on a Friday morning where we recited Dua-e Nudbah followed by a superb breakfast, was a lovely experience on its own.

The outskirt ziyarats such as Shah Abdul Azeem, Chehl Akhtaran, Grave and house of Imam Khomeini, visiting the Imam Zadehs, Nishapour, and going to Masjid-e Jamkaran for Dua-e Tawassul was Mashallah very enlightening!

A tour round the haram of Imam Reza (as) by Shaykh Kumail was a very interesting one.

Overall, this course has been indeed an inspiring one, and I must say I would totally recommend The World Federation’s course to my friends and relatives, so that they could also get such an opportunity!

It is estimated that over 20 million people will converge on the holy city of Karbala this year. They travel there to gain closeness to Allah through mourning and grieving for Imam Husayn (as) and his followers, and by renewing their pledges of loyalty to him and his cause of truth over falsehood.

Having had the opportunity of going on Ziyarat before I was once again blessed to join the 2013 Madinah and Bab course as a mentor for the first time...
