Essex Jamaat held its annual Interfaith Day on Saturday 7th March at Galleywood Heritage Centre, Chelmsford.

The President of the World Federation, Dr. Asgharali Moledina recently visited Jaffery Complex in Mombasa, Kenya. He was accompanied by Alhajj Sajjad Rashid and Alhajj Mohamed.H.Jaffer. Together they undertook a review of the ongoing work at the Complex.
The President was impressed with the amazing speed with which this project is progressing. The President comments “The quality and design of the whole project is outstanding. The structure of the masjid, Imambargah and classes with all its ancillary services is ready. The finishing will be ready within the next 2 months. However the Mombasa Jamaat is proposing to have the official opening of the mosque/imambargah at the time of the annual AFED meeting sometimes during April/May in Mombasa”.
The Mombasa Jamaat is welcoming the Khoja Shia diasporas outside and within East Africa to reserve the 40 3 B/R (all ensuite) earmarked for the community who wish to stay in Mombasa during the severe winter months or anytime of the year.
Construction on the 3 Apartments towers is now above ground with a solid foundation. There will be 40 apartments in each block with ample parking facilities. The entire Sports Club infrastructure including international cricket size field, Volleyball court and tennis courts will be restored to the best standards. It will be the pride of the East African Community.

The World Federation of KSIMC attended the 22nd Special Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva to strongly advocate for greater support to the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) of Iraq and a long term solution to the current crisis.
